To celebrate the launch of this blog, I’m giving away a bottle of semi-sorta-not-really-rareish Mikkeller / Three Floyds Risgoop (2012), a barleywine that uses rice! I haven’t even tried this one, but it would make me so happy to share it with one lucky beer geek. Read the RateBeer and BeerAdvocate reviews if you want to learn more about this beer. I bought this during my last trip to Alberta, from the great Sherbrooke Liquor Store in Edmonton. Now you can enjoy it! Drink it now, cellar it, or gift it to a special someone.

Why Am I Doing This?
I just wanted to share my love of beer and good food! I’ve been an avid CAMRA Vancouver member since 2009 and it’s truly enriched my appreciation of food and flavours. It’s my little way of spreading the love and having a bit of fun at the same time.
The Rules
- You must live in the Lower Mainland so that I can personally deliver this bottle to you without having to take a sea plane or dog sled. Alternatively, we can meet at Brassneck, Alibi Room, Portland Craft, St. Augustine’s or whichever Vancouver-based watering hole of your choice.
- I’d like to take a photo of you holding the beer. You don’t have to show your face in the photo if you’re not comfortable with it.
- You must be at least 19 years of age.
- Deadline to enter is NOON Saturday, April 12, 2014.
- One entry per person. Get your friends to enter if you want to increase your chances. I’ll be filtering the list for dupes 😉
- Winner will be randomly drawn at 12:30pm Saturday, April 12 using the random.org random number generator. I’ll tweet the winner at 1:00pm.
