Ramen Jinya (or Jinya Ramen Bar, depending on where you look) is opening a new location in Kerrisdale possibly January or February 2015. Seeing that I still haven’t tried the original location of Ramen Jinya on the south end of Robson St., I hauled my ass through the rain and wind to get my fill of porky, ramen goodness. Man, was it good!

I had a little dose of British food at The Abbey the other week, so I thought I’d finally go try the other newish British gastropub in town, The Fat Badger. While The Abbey has quite a few British-inspired dishes like Welsh Rarebit, Lancashire Hotpot and Sausages & Mash, The Fat Badger is actually a full-on British gastropub experience, with a full British menu, all British beers on tap and a UK-focused playlist on the sound system.
I confess that I don’t go to 33 Acres nearly as much as I should. I guess I’ve been too lazy to walk the couple extra blocks from Brassneck… 😛 But after a fun recent trip to 33 Acres, I’ll be visiting them more often! Continue reading 33 Acres X JJ’s Trucketeria
